FAQ'S - Preparing the Application via the International Student Statute

Students who are not nationals of a European Union country must apply for a student visa to attend courses lasting more than one year.

To find out where you can apply for a student visa, you should contact the Portuguese embassy/consulate in your country.

The rule states that you cannot change the type of visa you enter Portugal with, nor is it possible to apply for a new one.

The knowledge level of the language of teaching will be checked. When necessary, this may be done by means of documentary evidence (B2 level Portuguese language certificate or equivalent) or a written exam or an interview.

The application process is exclusively online for all programmes at the headquarters of Católica. For most programmes, apply here

Applications for the integrated master's programme in Medicine should be submitted here and for the international degrees at the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, here
