Support to the application for a grant from the General Directorate of Higher Education (DGES)

Students at Católica who are applying for the DGES-MCTES Scholarships have the entire process of analysis of their applications carried out by the Social Responsibility Office (GRS) of Universidade Católica.

The GRS guides and supports students from the outset in the implementation of their application, always in accordance with the standards and guidelines previously defined by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education.

How to apply for the DGES Scholarship in the academic year 2023/24:

• First-time applicants: Pre-register at this link. You will then receive access credentials to the DGES website by email so that you can complete and submit your application.

Application deadline:

The application for a scholarship for one academic year must be submitted:

• Between 25 June and 30 September;
• Within 20 working days of enrolment, if this occurs after 30 September;
• Within 20 working days of being issued with proof of the start of the internship by the organisation providing it, in the case of bachelors or masters students undertaking a professional traineeship.

 
If registration takes place before 30 September, the student always has 20 working days to submit the application, even if the deadline is later than 30 September. You can find information on the deadlines for submitting applications in this situation here.

The application can also be submitted between 1 October and 31 May, in which case the amount of the scholarship to be awarded is proportional to the amount calculated under the terms of this regulation, taking into account the period between the month following the submission of the application and the end of the academic term or internship.
